WINE BAR

Much more than the simple wine cellar of the restaurant, the Enoteca, with its broad selection of wines, is more the representative of Italian winemaking. Tuscany is of course the best represented, but other regions are by no means in second place. Rather, their presence attests to the spirit of openness and to the unconditional wine culture that is emblematic of Casato Enoristorante.

Andrea Cortonesi as a winegrower is proud to present those other wine producers whose wine philosophies are similar to his own, since he believes that his guests should have an acquaintance with top-quality winemakers and that such an experience will create an even better clientele.

Adjacent to the restaurant but separate from it, the Enoteca may be visited anytime so that, for example, guests can visit it before selecting their wines, or after having enjoyed them, in order to learn more about them.

This is thus an Enoteca open to the public as well, where guided tastings and other wine-related programmes may be organised, in an architecturally-striking atmosphere, where one descends from the street level down into the ancient heart of Siena laden with local history.
